During the recent Sainsbury’s Big Bash evening in support of partnership charities Grocery Aid and Comic Relief, Monolith (UK) LTD donated £16K to help these two great charities. We share the mission and values of these organizations, and also consider the importance of the goals they pursue. These 2 charities provide communities with immediate relief but also help to address some of the root causes of food poverty, creating safe community spaces to learn how to cook as well as providing the financial, employment and mental health advice to those who need it most.
- GroceryAid is a charity that can provide financial grants, business and career advice, emotional, practical, health and well-being support to people who work or have worked in the grocery industry. https://www.groceryaid.org.uk/
- Comic Relief – is a British charity that aims to raise money and awareness for good causes all around the world. In cooperation with Sainsbury’s, they are embarking on a new adventure to help tackle food poverty in the UK and in communities across the world, helping people access the balanced and nutritious food they need, right now and in the future. Charity vision is simply – a just world, free from poverty. https://www.comicrelief.com/
Why £16K? Because the number 16 is an indication of a fresh start or new beginnings, it can also indicate that you are on the right track and headed in the right direction. We believe that our contribution helps these charities continue to make a very real difference to people in need. And maybe someone, thanks to this donation, will straighten himself in the right direction and celebrate new beginnings.
Piece by piece, together we can make the world a better place to be!!
